All about Pilates
“This is not cookie cutter Pilates! Kim brings so much of her exercise physiology background to her sessions. The focus is on doing the exercise correctly and safely and that is what gets results. As a physical therapist I always feel comfortable sending her my post rehab patients knowing that they will get quality instruction and meet their goals. As a client of hers, I have never been in as good shape as when I am taking classes with Kim.”

Equipment
Pilates Reformer
The reformer is the most popular piece of Pilates equipment. It is highly versatile and highly adaptable to any body. The benefits of regular use of the reformer include strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance. Which, in turn, lead to daily life improvements like better posture, effortless and efficient movement, and for many, relief from pain associated with muscular imbalances.
Pilates Stability Chair
There are myriad exercises that can be performed on the Pilates chair. It is excellent for strengthening the core muscles, of course, but it can be also used to help muscular asymmetries, improve balance and improve sports performance.
Pilates Tower
The Tower can be used in combination with the Reformer allowing for precise rope angle adjustments for endless ranges for every exercises. It can also be used alone transforming the reformer into a virtual Pilates Cadillac. This incredible piece of equipment encourages strength, articulation, balance and deep stretching.
TRX Suspension Trainer
By leveraging your own body weight and manipulating your stability, the TRX can scale intensity across a continuum of low to high loads and stable to unstable positions. It can be used to rehabilitate injuries, prevent injuries, promote health & fitness and enhance athletic performance
Pilates Barrels
The Pilates barrels (the spine corrector is shown in the picture) are designed to challenge core strength & stability but the barrells are especially popular as a restorative device. The barrels allow beautiful and supported 3-dimensional range of motion for the spine, which is not only great for the health of your spine but it feels wonderful on the body.
Other small equipment
Free weights, bands, magic circle, Bosu, rotational discs and more are used when needed or desired to add even more versatility to your workouts.
